Arups

Two Landscape architects from Arups came and gave an in depth talk into some of the work they do and the processes and outcomes from the minute details, to the grand scale. Arups is a multidiscipinary practice and it was nice to see what projects a practice like this can take on and the designs they can develop.

The great architect Richard Rogers is responsible for some great designs, including Lloyds of London and the Pompidou Centre to name a few. A more recent design is that of a hospital in Bath using environmental psychology as a basis, this hospital in essence is aimed at speeding up recovery, with the aid of the environment.

The Blur Building - The blur building was built for the Swiss Expo 2002 on Lake Neuchatel. Its is essentialy an atmospheric piece of architecture. Mist is created by shots of water from the lake.
